Ikki Kurogane vs Edelweiss: Rematch is the second fight between the Hagun Academy student Ikki Kurogane and the world's strongest swordsman Edelweiss. It takes place during Stella's fight with Fu Xiaoli.
Prologue[]
Having promised to protect Edelweiss' home, Stella engages Xiaoli, who wants to fight Edelweiss. As Xiaoli is a Desperado, Stella is too weak to defeat her, getting continually beaten by Xiaoli. Seeing that Stella has no chance, Edelweiss attempts to intervene in the fight, but Ikki comes to stop her, wanting her to give Stella a chance. Edelweiss though doesn't believe that Stella will win, and decides to engage Ikki.
Battle[]
Ikki and Edelweiss exchange attacks, both being extremely skilled in swordsmanship. Edelweiss notes that Ikki's magic has been drained from the training that he has done, as he won't even be able to use Ittou Shura. Due to this, Edelweiss manages to push Ikki back, eventually getting an attack through his defense.
The slash though, is blocked by Ikki's newly learned mana defense. Iris Ascarid and Yui Tatara, who are watching are shocked that Ikki was able to block a strike from Edelweiss. Ikki then tells Edelweiss that Stella won't give up, and will continue trying despite the opponent she faces. This convinces Edelweiss, and she decides to let Stella continue her fight.
Epilogue[]
Stella eventually does defeat Xiaoli, after her soul evolved surprising Edelweiss. Stella, Ikki, Ascarid and Yui then return back to Vermillion, ready for the upcoming tournament.
