Description

Seeing the white-clad woman, wielding two swords atop the building, Shizuku manifests her Device and gets ready to face her. Ikki though tells her to move onward into the building, without him. the confused Shizuku notices that Ikki has an extremely serious and worried face, which shocks her. Shizuku, although begrudgingly, moves onward, leaving Ikki to deal with the woman. The woman doesn't chase after Shizuku, as she says that she will face Wallenstein, who is also a very formidable. Ikki, although worried about Shizuku, has no choice but to hope that she will be fine. Ikki then says that he is familiar with the woman, noting that her nickname is known by all swordsmen throughout the world. "Twin-Wings" Edelweiss, the world's strongest swordsman. The woman confirms that she is indeed Edelweiss, being puzzled by the fact that Ikki would choose to face her, despite knowing of her extreme power. Ikki marks that he is indeed aware of the gap between his and Edelweiss's strength, noting that Edelweiss is far beyond even the summit of the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival. Although his hands are shaking just from the thought of facing her, he chooses to remain and challenge her. Edelweiss accepts his challenge, jumping down from the roof of the building, releasing an immense aura upon landing. Despite Ikki's every instinct telling him to flee, Ikki stands against her. They then clash, releasing a powerful shockwave.

Nagi wakes up inside the building, tied up and facing his mentor Wallenstein. Wallenstein starts kicking Nagi, questioning why he would betray the Akatsuki and him. Having his own pupil turn his back on him, makes Wallenstein very angry, causing him to beat up Nagi even more. Nagi though tells that he betrayed them, because of meeting Shizuku and remembering his old, happy life living as an orphan, awakening a desire to protect her, even if it meant turning away from Rebellion and Wallenstein. Nagi then attempts to attack Wallenstein but is easily kicked away. Just then, the roof above them is destroyed by a falling piece of ice. The ice then breaks apart, with Shizuku being revealed to be inside it. Nagi is unhappy that Shizuku came after him and is risking her life, but Shizuku tells that Nagi is precious for her, so she would obviously come save him. Shizuku then summons a large amount of water, ready to challenge Wallenstein. Nagi, who is stomped on by Wallenstein, is horrified by Shizuku facing Wallenstein, as he knows that her water powers won't work on him. Wallenstein then materializes his own Device, a gigantic sword, ready to face Shizuku.
